杵築城の麓にある創業三百年を超える料亭で、創業から伝わる家伝の料理「鯛茶漬うれしの」があります。新鮮な鯛を一子相伝の胡麻タレに漬けたものをご飯にのせ、杵築茶をかけて召し上がる城下町杵築に残る江戸の味です。
その昔、若栄屋と深く関わりのあった杵築藩城主が当家に伝わる鯛茶漬けを召し上がった際に「うれしいのう」と言った事からこの名が付けられました。その味を一切変えることなく代々引き継ぎ、今に至ります。
