日本一の人道大吊橋「九重“夢”大吊橋」からほど近くにある筌の口温泉。
享保13年（1728年）に田野庄屋徳右衛門が同地に湯小屋を建てたのが始まりという歴史ある温泉です。文豪・川端康成も小説『波千鳥』の構想をねるために滞在したと言われています。
筌の口温泉は、金色のにごり湯で鉄分のにおいのする温泉です。温泉周辺には宿もあり、山の幸をふんだんに使った山家料理がいただけます。
