別府のシンボル的存在『別府タワー』が大規模改修工事を終え、2023年1月にリニューアルオープンしました。
高さを100mに、塗装をグレーに塗り替えるなど外観をタワー建築当時と同じように復元したほか、16・17階に展望台、5階には芝生を敷き詰めたキタハマデッキを新設しています。
ほかにも有名芸能人の作品に出会える美術館『別府アートミュージアム』もあり、見どころ満載です。
夜間ライトアップも毎日行われており夜の別府を彩ります。
