施設名 西中仕切跡

岡城の「西中仕切り」から三の丸の高石垣を望むと、美しい曲線を描く石垣を見渡せます。西中仕切りは防御の要であり、L字形に曲がった石垣は、攻めの出入り口とされていました。貫木門の礎石もあり、慎重なうえにも慎重を期した城内の警備について、当時へ思いをめぐらすことができます。また、見下ろす「清水谷」の眺めは足がすくみます。
