「日本丸館（にほんがんかん）」は、明治から昭和初期の建築物や製薬資料、生活遺産品などが公開、展示される施設です。
増築を重ねて作られた建物は、本座敷24畳、控えの間8.5畳、奥の間は33畳（奥の間はギャラリーとして使用中）の広さを要します。実家である製薬業に関する品々を集めた展示物が豊富で、“岩尾薬舗”(岩尾薬局)とも呼ばれます。また、木造3階建ての最上階、展望楼へ上がると日田の町並みが一望でき、“豆田の天守閣”とも言われる場所です。
