山国方面へ抜ける県道43号線沿いに「立羽田の景(たちはたのけい)」と呼ばれる風光明媚な風景があります。
別名“一名日暮峠”ともいわれ、約1kmに渡り岩峰が林立する景勝地で知られています。独特な岩峰とそれを取り巻く山肌の景観が見事で、緑に覆われて屹立する岩の下に田んぼが広がり、農家が点在するうららかな地域です。
紅葉の時期には木々が色をつけ、自然が醸し出す鮮やかな彩りは訪れる人を魅了させます。また、観光シーズンには物産館を設ける、玖珠町の観光スポットのひとつです。
