国内生産量の8割を占める竹田の名産品「さふらん」を広く知ってもらおうと、お店の名前を「さふらんごはん」にされたとのこと。その名の通り定食で「さふらんごはん」を味わうことができます。（※日によって鶏飯などになることもあります）
