浦代峠の桜（ソメイヨシノ）は、昭和44年に地域住民が主体となって植樹しました。3月中旬から見頃となる浦代峠の桜は、本数はそれほど多くありませんが道路の両側に並木となって咲いているため桜の花のトンネルができ通行者の目を和ませてくれます。夜間もライトアップもしており、日中とはまた違った幻想的な表情を見ることができます。
