水ノ子島海事資料館と同じく当時の吏員退息所の倉庫を活用して作られた「渡り鳥館」。ここには、昭和38年から昭和59年までの22年間に水ノ子島灯台に衝突し死亡した渡り鳥を、当時の灯台守の川原忠武氏がはく製にしたもの62種類550羽を展示しています。水ノ子島灯台も自動化されて、無人化となったため、衝突死した鳥の回収が出来なくなり、これらの標本は二度と得られない貴重な学術的資料となっています。
