豊音寺（ほうおんじ）は岡藩時代から続く寺町の禅寺です。幕末の嘉永三年（1850年）に建立された門は寺町でも最大級の門です。西南戦争の惨禍をくぐりぬけた岡藩時代の生き証人で門の二階に釈迦如来と十六羅漢が配置されていました。門の天井には岡藩の画師・森解谷筆の黒龍の絵が描かれていますので、門をくぐる際にはぜひご覧ください。瀧廉太郎記念館を出て左手に見えるのが豊音寺の二重門です。
