130年ほど前の明治時代の建物を改装した老舗の椎茸（しいたけ）問屋です。明治10年の創業以来、干し椎茸生産量トップの有数の産地である竹田市で大分県産一筋に、美味しさと品種にこだわった椎茸を全国に届けています。
外壁には見事な鏝絵（こてえ）があり、風情ある落ち着いた雰囲気の店内には茶房も併設されています。雛まつりの期間は、2階のギャラリーにて見ごたえのある御殿雛など展示しています（観覧無料)。
