滞迫峡は、祖母・傾・大崩ユネスコエコパークの代表的な見どころのひとつです。
奥岳川沿いの峡谷で、両側を柱状節理の発達した溶結凝灰岩の絶壁で囲まれています。崖の高さは70ｍに及びます。谷底にはおよそ1500万年前の火山活動でできた岩石が露出しています。少し上流には、火砕流で蒸し焼きになった炭化木が埋もれた洞窟もあります。
