江戸後期に途絶えた幻の焼き物「臼杵焼（うすきやき）」を復活させた宇佐美裕之さんが営む『うすき皿山』。
陶磁器「臼杵焼」の工房やギャラリー、カフェ、焼き菓子店などを備えています。
工房では「臼杵焼」の制作現場の見学をはじめ、豆皿型打ちや本格臼杵焼型打ち、臼杵焼金継ぎなどが体験できます（要予約）。また窓の外からは、予約なしで製作風景を見学することが出来ます。
カフェスペースの「皿山喫茶室」では、中国茶や手作りスイーツが楽しめます。
