中央の展示室には、中津市内で発掘された旧石器時代から近代までの歴史を紹介しています。
プレイスタジオでは昭和の台所が再現されており、おもちゃで遊ぶことも可能です。
館内にあるカフェ『華林茶房』では、中津城の形をした最中がのった「石垣パフェ」などが味わえます。
